Transforming the basement vault of the 805 Idaho Building into creative and flexible workspaces for the client was the design goal. Harmonious juxtaposition of old and new is relevant in the 15 ton bank vault from the original Boise City National Bank turned conference room, surrounded by 100 year-old white marble with new finishes, decorative lighting, and new conference furniture including a monitor for digital presentations. Furniture and finishes reflect a mix of contemporary and modern aesthetics, paired intentionally with the many historic features of the building. Surrounding spaces are a mix of private offices, dynamic workstations, break area, copy and supply areas, and a flexible collaborative/lounge space. New glass wall offices provide separation and visual interest, allowing transmission of light and openness.
