The Bear Lake Memorial Hospital and adjacent nursing home is a vital and important facility for the small but bustling community of Montpelier, Idaho. The project consisted of an addition to the nursing home which had to tie into an existing hospital and existing nursing home. Cornerstone Design worked with the architect on the project, Myers-Anderson, to create a warm, comfortable environment with durable finishes. Not only did the materials and finishes provide and updated look for the nursing home, but the finishes transitioned nicely with the existing facility. The client's desire was to create the feel of a neighborhood for the resident's. The doors into the patient rooms have a false arched window that gives the illusion of a home. The floor patterns in the corridor resemble area rungs to create the illusion of a home. The lighting and other finishes were selected to create a very home-like warm ambience.

"I must say the design not only meets but also exceeds my expectations.  Suzie and her staff understand the need for beauty and practicality.  The materials used are durable yet beautiful.”
